On COB’s campus, there is an almond tree in the middle of the parking lot. It is one of the few spaces where students can congregate inbetween classes without having to make any purchases. It is also the space where some of the most stimulating discussions take place, and some of the best ideas are born.

  1. Hi,

I am Lei, 28 years old. Whn I was 4-5 years old, and people asked me what I wanted to do when I grow-up, I answered: cracking almonds under an almond tree. I always had an image of me under this almond tree with people sitting by me, and that’s the only thing we did: cracking almonds, chatting while sitting under that tree, for me it was my dream job. Today, I am looking to create my dream job and I am trying to understand what I meant when I was young by cracking almonds under an almond tree. I read you description: It gave me goosebumps (“…without having to make any purchases. It is also the space where some of the MOST STIMULATING discussions take place, and some of the best ideas are born.”). I want to visit this place. I want come and sit under this tree!
